Reiki (universal life force) is one of the faster growing and accepted forms of integrative and complementary therapies today. Nurses, massage therapists, counselors, managers, animal practitioners and other health care professionals as well as those in other walks of life are implementing Reiki into their life. In these hands-on workshops you will learn the Usui system of Reiki and advanced energy medicine techniques that include the "Seven Stones to Reiki" modality .

First Degree • Level I Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm During this two day course the student will learn the history of Reiki, the first Reiki symbol, traditional Usui Reiki hand positions, basic meditation practice and the importance of setting intention in energy work. Introduction to the seven main chakras and their functions in relation to basic anatomy and spirituality will be covered. Our time together includes lecture, sitting circle (discussion), demonstration and practice time. Seven Stones to Reiki Level I illustrated manual included in class fee. Not for sale outside of class. Advanced energy work with the "Seven Stones to Reiki" modality will introduce Basalt stone therapy. Thermotherapy, aromatherapy, stone placement, care and cleaning of the stones will be covered. Chakra stone placement in relation to Reiki will be emphasized. Reiki Level I attunements opening the student to Reiki healing energy will be given. No prerequisites for this class other than a desire to be open to Universal love and light.

Second Degree Reiki • Level II Friday 6:30 - 9:00 pm
"Seven Stones to Reiki" level II will enable you to take Reiki to the next level of healing. The student will focus on learning and becoming familiar with Reiki Level II symbols. Second Degree Reiki introduces distance healing, or "sending" Reiki energy. Four Level II attunements will be given. Attunement meditation and hands-on practice is emphasized. Advanced energy work will focus on "Seven Stones to Reiki" stone placement and tuning into the energy body. Chakra work, including chakra balancing and stone therapeutics will be the emphasis of this class. Seven Stones to Reiki Level II illustrated manual included in class fee. Advanced Reiki Level II Friday 6:30 - 9:00 pm This class is designed for the serious student wanting to learn more about the sacred healing ways of old. This advanced class builds upon skills learned in Reiki levels I & II and takes the student deeper into Energy Medicine. One additional Reiki symbol will be taught that builds upon alchemy with the energy body. Further work with the chakras includes chakra mapping for health and wellness. This class brings in Channeling and Shamanic rituals to connect ourselves to earth medicine. Each modality is presented in a clear and concise learning style for students to incorporate in their daily practice.

Reiki Level III - Master
Because Level III requires much preparation and practice Reiki Level III (Master Level) class will take place in a retreat setting on the California coast. Becoming a Reiki Master is not about learning symbols, it is a way of life. This three day class is for the serious student of Reiki who chooses to “live” Reiki. The focus of this class is to equip the student to live as a Reiki Master. Two master symbols will be taught along with advanced techniques of meditation, sound therapy and chakra work. Apprenticeship is based upon each student's individual needs. Pre-requisites include; one full year as a practicing Reiki Master, letter of intent and written case studies. This class will prepare you for Aromatherapy Level II. Aromatherapy is the art and science of using essential oils. Essential oils are the concentrated essences of flowers, herbs, trees and plants. Modern scientific research has proven that essential oils are potent, with remarkable medicinal properties. In this class you will be introduced to the healer’s way of creating sacred space in which to treat your client. In a focused, directed and experiential way you will learn “clearing techniques” for yourself and your treatment room with sacred sage, other herbs and aromatherapy. Melynda will share Native American ways of calling in the Four Directions to assist in this clearing. Your practice will flourish as others sense a sacred and safe space to come to you for healing.

Circlekeepers, A Lunar Cycle Journey, was created to teach the basic symbology of the Medicine Wheel in a focused, directed and experiential way. By setting an intention, creating a sacred space, doing personal daily rituals and meditations, and meeting weekly through one lunar cycle, you will take a guided journey around the wheel, experiencing the attributes of a Cardinal Direction (East, South, West and North) each week. This focused process integrates left and right brain activity and imprints the subconscious with the concepts of initiation, transition, transformation and synthesis as a guide for making positive, life-affirming change. You will sit circle with Melynda for four weekly sessions. A fifth meeting will culminate our work together in a full moon Medicine Wheel ceremony signifying completion of the Lunar Cycle. Your journey to the Four Directions will allow your transition and healing to take place. By "telling your story", participating in "clearing" or letting go of what is no longer useful to you, you arrive at the place to call back that part of you that is your soul essence. This journey is sometimes called "soul searching" or "soul retrieval". Chanting, drumming, shamanic journeying, “Talk Story,” energetic healing and sacred counsel are some of the processes used on this healing journey.

Seven Stones to Reiki with Melynda Ruckels Offering basic to advanced energy modalities for all healing.
Steve is a gifted channeler, healer and drummer who started his spiritual journey as a gifted child whose parents encouraged his spiritual development at a young age. Steve has been involved in energy healing since 1982 and experienced a life changing "re-awakening" in 2003. Steve and Melynda joined their teaching talents together in 2006. As an intuitive channeler, healer and Reiki drummer Steve brings a wide diversity to each Reiki level. Steve completed the first "Seven Stones to Reiki" apprenticeship offered. He has his own practice and enjoys passing along the knowledge and wisdom of the Reiki Masters. He has served as President for Healing Hands, Healing Hearts, a non-profit organization serving Hospice clients with energy and massage treatments. He has over 30 years experience in the medical field as a Paramedic, EMS Executive and advocate for seniors. Steve has been a business consultant for Lori Wilson Inc. He now serves as the Executive Director of a prominent Assisted Living Facility in the Sacramento region. Steve freely shares his love and light and says that he looks at each day as an opportunity to learn, love and give back to the Universe in appreciation and gratitude for all that is.
